How Can You Help

Volunteers are key to enabling us to achieve our goals. They are the backbone of our organisation. Without them, much of the work we do would not be possible. Volunteer now by sending us your C.V. and a letter detailing the areas of your expertise and how you could assist us.

We are constantly applying for grants from Trusts, Foundations and the government. We would welcome inquiries from any grant maker or government agency to discuss possible opportunities. We are renowned for maximizing benefits to the community from all the money we receive.

Workplace Giving is a payroll contribution scheme where direct pre-tax donations from registered employees go towards assisting us continue our work in the community. A Workplace Giving Program is a very effective way for employees to help Childrens Charity Network.

How it works …

Donations are deducted each pay period direct from your gross salary, by arrangement with your employer’s payroll departments. All you need to do is decide on the amount you would like to give. It’s that simple.
As your donation is made before tax it actually costs you less than the amount we received from your pay office

Donations per week
$5.00
$10.00
$20.00

Donations per Year to Charity
$250.oo
$520.00
$1040.00

Actual cost to You
$146.64
$293.80
$587.60

This table is based on a marginal tax rate of 42% for taxable income of $50,001 to $60,000 and a Medicare levy of 1.5%. Because your donations are processed through your pay you receive an immediate, guaranteed tax deduction – you do not have to collect, keep and claim receipt.

How to Register …

  • Download and complete the registration form and send it to your payroll office.
  • Instruct your payroll department to deduct your nominated donation amount from your gross pre-tax salary each pay period.
  • Request that your pay office forward your details to us.

Contributions are pre-tax and tax free!

Fundraising events are great fun:

They allow you to raise funds for the Childrens Charity Network or one of its initiatives whilst simultaneously engaging friends, family members, employees and customers and giving you self-satisfaction in the knowledge that you are helping a worthwhile cause.

You can organise a “Golf Day”, a “Tennis Day”, a “Family Day”, a “Gala Night”, etc.

If you are interested in discussing this option, please contact us

Childrens Charity Network recognises the importance of developing and nurturing strong links with the corporate and business sectors in the community.

In partnering with corporations and businesses, we seek to engage all partners in long-term, strategic and mutually beneficial relationships. We are focused on developing partnerships of involvement and commitment.

Corporate partnerships are important strategic alliances between major organisations and Childrens Charity Network, building warm and positive relationships with all sectors of the community.

What Can You Do?

The benefits to corporate donors are both immediate and long-term:

Profile and brand – being a corporate partner of one of the most respected and trusted charity can help to strengthen your profile and brand

Customer and staff loyalty – Childrens Charity Network sends donors wonderful pictures and stories for internal and external communications.

Staff morale – an excellent way to engage your staff to help others, as well as volunteering opportunities.

Social responsibility – product donations can demonstrate your company’s commitment to supporting communities.

Reducing inventory cost – free up storage space and lower stock-handling costs by donating slow-moving or excess stock.

Childrens Charity Network Patrons’ Circle is a small group of dedicated donors who commit an annual financial donation of their choice, to ensure the expansion and continuity of our work in the community.

Your Gift for Tomorrow

Bequests are the special gifts that help Childrens Charity Network to expand its services and programs and help a larger number of children. A growing number of Australians are seeking to leave a lasting legacy through bequests or charitable trusts.

Let us Thank You

A Will is a very personal matter. We do not need to know the details of your bequest but we would like to thank you personally. Please let us know if you will be helping us to plan for the future.

Seek Legal Advice

We strongly advise you to seek qualified legal advice and assistance when making or revising your Will. It is important to understand that someone may challenge your Will if it is not drawn up correctly.

If you do not have a legal advisor, the following independent organisations can help you. You are also welcome to talk to the Childrens Charity Network.

Be Specific in your Will

The most important thing to remember … is that your bequest must be properly detailed in your will – the legal document that every adult should have to protect the assets they have worked hard to accumulate. A Will is not the reserve of the wealthy or something to be postponed until old age.

Your Will allows you to specify how you want your assets distributed after your death, including gifts to your favourite charities. If you don’t have a Will, your assets will be distributed according to a pre-determined legal formula.

Many of us find it difficult to talk about our Will because it represents the time when we will no longer be with our family, friends and loved ones. But by making a Will, you will actually be helping your family and the people you care for. Your wishes will be clear and nothing will be left to chance. If you want your support for the Childrens Charity Network to continue beyond your own lifetime, your Will is the practical device through which this can be achieved.

Financial donations are greatly welcomed!

They can be made to support the work of the Childrens Charity Network.
We are a not-for-profit organisation as a whole so we can expand our programs or direct donations to a specific program such as Books for Kids or The Feeding Program.
All donations over $2.00 are tax-deductible.

You can also donate goods or services for our raffle ticket sales, or to be auctioned at one of our popular events.

In Memory of Rob Leonard, Our Founder

It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors, staff, and myself from the Children’s Charity Network must inform you of the passing of our founder, Mr Rob Leonard, following a 14-month battle with Cancer. We pass our condolences to Rob’s friends and family at this terrible time.

Rob was a wonderful, caring man with a passion for service and charity. His vision to influence young Australians through literacy 25 years ago has impacted thousands, who will all be saddened by this news. In honour of Rob, I look forward to growing his vision and continuing to advocate for the value of literacy and arts.

Please take a moment to reflect upon Rob’s impact on you, and remember his uncompromising belief in the power of Art and Writing.

Rob, you will be truly missed but never far away from our thoughts.

May Rob’s memory be a blessing.
